About our collections

What is a collection?

A hand-picked group of recipes around one theme old-fashioned desserts, Depression-era cooking, slow-cooker dinners and so on. Each gathers the recipes that genuinely belong together, so you can plan a meal or a bake without hunting through the whole index.

Do I need an account to use them?

No. Collections are free to browse, and every recipe inside is free to read and print.

How do you decide what goes into a collection?

By whether we would actually serve them together. A recipe earns its place because it fits the theme and because it has been tested here not to pad out a number.

I want something specific where should I look?

All recipes lists everything and can be filtered by course. Granny's Pantry is the place for ingredient questions substitutions, storage, and what to do when you are missing something.
